Merchant Mariner Captains:
Captain Phil has been a part of the OHM family since the summer of 2000. He possesses a 100-ton USCG master captain’s license with a towing endorsement. Phil is very experienced with the waterways of Chatham and is knowledgeable about the native wildlife and Grey Seal population in the area. He looks forward to assisting OHM customers with any of their boating needs. Captain Phil resides in the town of West Barnstable with his wife Gina and son Sal.
Captain Derek is a native Cape Codder with boating and fishing flowing in his veins. Derek holds a bachelor’s degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island and also holds a 100-ton USCG master captain’s license. Captain Derek enjoys building custom fishing rods and gaffs, as well as chasing striped bass, bluefish, and Bluefin Tuna.
Captain Josh Higgins is also a native Cape Codder. Growing up in Orleans, captain Josh spent his early life in, on and around the water. After earning a degree in Sports Medicine from Elon University in North Carolina, he just couldn’t resist the lure of the water and has been at OHM since 2004. Captain Josh has fished and cruised waters all over New England and holds a 100-ton USCG master’s license with towing and auxiliary sail endorsements, as well as extensive knowledge of marine electronics systems.
